Welcome to Scarlett Knob Campground

Scarlett Knob Campground is a privately owned
 campground located on a scenic hilltop adjoining the 19,000 acre Ohiopyle State Park, and overlooking the Youghiogheny River Valley in southwestern Pennsylvania.

All of our camping sites are wooded with a tent pad, picnic table and fire ring. We welcome pets. A fishing lake (no license required) and recreation field are available for use by campers.

Scarlett Knob is divided into two separated camping areas. 

• THE FAMILY AREA, has strict quiet hours beginning at 9 p.m. and limits 5 people to a site. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in this area. Water and electric hookups are available in the family area.
  
• THE GROUP AREA, has later quiet hours, and separate sites for groups of 2-4, 5-8, 9-16, 17-35, and 36-60 adults. Alcohol is permitted (but drunken behavior isn't).

Facilities currently include:
flush toilets, pit toilets, and coin-operated hot showers.
Bicycles are permitted.
Helmets are required when riding on grounds.

You can charge your camping fees to your VISA or MasterCard.
Reservations made less than two weeks prior to your camping date require a payment with a credit card. If you prefer to pay by check, please call for the proper procedures.

When making reservations, we will deal with one person per site. We will accept payment from that person only. We do not accept multiple checks or charges for a single site.

Refund Policy

Your payment guarantees your specific site reservation, which means we must refuse to book your site for anyone else. WE DO NOT OVERBOOK!
Due to limited availability and length of season, there are NO REFUNDS OR RE-SCHEDULES on late arrivals, no shows or cancellations with less than 30 days notice. Cancellations with 30 days notice will be charged 8% of total cost for processing fees. No refunds includes, but is not restricted to, inclement weather, illness, river conditions, or work schedules. Group leaders should be sure that all group members understand the refund policy

It is strongly suggested you bring beverages in aluminum cans. Aluminum cans are more environmentally friendly. Broken glass around your campsite, and especially hot glass in the fire ring is not only dangerous, but also a hassle for you to cleanup before your group security deposit is returned.
