Fayette County - our county - went GREEN 5 June 2020. Even so, there are state guidelines to follow. We will still be doing checkins from the porch. There are now 2 windows for checkins. Please continue to social distance on the porch.
The store is an issue we are working on. We will continue sales of needed supplies - firewood, ice, marshmallows, graham crackers, Hershey bars, etc - at the windows. Let us know what you need and, after payment, we will place it on the table just outside the door. This is because there are normally 3 staff and our 2 grandsons in the building. The office / store is small, and is most likely over impacted by just us. We appreciate your patience during the transition to the "New Normal".
All check-ins will be done at the “after hours” check-in window on the porch to the right of the office/store door. Multiple pens are available for your use. Hand sanitizer is also available for use after signing in.
ALL CAMPERS still need to check-in. ONE person from each vehicle (or group of vehicles that arrive together / at the same time) can check-in for themselves and those with them.
A major part of any camping trip is Firewood – be it for pleasure or cooking. It is against Pennsylvania’s regulations to bring all types of out-of-state wood into Pennsylvania including, but not limited to, hardwoods, softwoods, seasoned woods, and green woods. Pennsylvania regulations state to protect urban, suburban, and forested areas from exotic invasive species, including the emerald ash bore and, most recently, the spotted lantern fly:
> Do not more firewood from county to county within PA.
> Buy and Burn locally cut firewood.
> Encourage friends and neighbors not to more firewood.
WE SELL FIREWOOD. We also sell starter wood bundles of local wood.
FIREWOOD and starter wood bundles can be purchased by coming to the check-in window on the porch.
Ice and other needs can also be purchased by coming to the check-in window on the porch.
Please be aware of how many other campers are in the restrooms. Please do not over-impact buildings.
Also, Pennsylvania requires everyone wear a mask when "not at home".
Please dispose of ALL garbage in one of our dumpsters - NOT in your firering or in the restrooms.
Thank you for your help in continuing Covid-19 Directives.
Individuals should only go out if they feel healthy and have not been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Maintain the recommended minimum 6 feet apart from fellow recreationists. Pennsylvanians are also encouraged to wear a mask or protective garment that covers the nose and mouth any time they go outside. If a parking lot at a park is full or there are too many people on the same trail, find an alternate place to recreate. Cross the street to avoid running directly past another runner or wait longer at a golf hole for a fellow golfer to move forward.
Wash hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol. Avoid surfaces that are touched often, such as doorknobs and handrails.
We are sorry to hear of a Local Business's Temporary Closing due to Covid-19.
We will watch their web page and update this post if we see any changes.
