Southwestern PA Going From Red To Yellow

On Friday, 8 May. PA Governor Wolf announced Fayette County (our county) in Southwestern Pennsylvania will move from the Red Phase to the Yellow Phase of the Covid-19 Recovery Plan on Friday, May 15th. (We were permitted to open on May 1st.)

Yellow Phase (in Pennsylvania) means:

“The yellow phase contains loosened restrictions, though many are still in place. It lifts the stay-at-home order, and it allows retail businesses to reopen under certain guidelines. Restaurants must remain delivery or take-out only, and gyms, theaters and salons will remain closed.

Social distancing and mask guidelines remain in place.”

For SCARLETT KNOB,

Yellow means: We, personally, as older adults and one with underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk for severe illness from Covid-19. Also, our grandsons are here. While studies are incomplete and seem to indicate that in children, Covid-19 is asymptomatic, mild, or moderate, some young children have died from it. We need to be safe and take steps to keep us all healthy.

CHECKING IN

All check-ins will be done at the “after hours” check-in window on the porch to the right of the office/store door. Multiple pens are available for your use. Hand sanitizer is also available for use after signing in.

ALL CAMPERS still need to check-in. ONE person from each vehicle (or group of vehicles that arrive together / at the same time) can check-in for themselves and those with them.

FIREWOOD & STARTER BUNDLES

A major part of any camping trip is Firewood – be it for pleasure or cooking.  It is against Pennsylvania’s regulations to bring all types of out-of-state wood into Pennsylvania including, but not limited to, hardwoods, softwoods, seasoned woods, and green woods. Pennsylvania regulations state to protect urban, suburban, and forested areas from exotic invasive species, including the emerald ash bore and, most recently, the spotted lantern fly:

> Do not more firewood from county to county within PA.

> Buy and Burn locally cut firewood.

> Encourage friends and neighbors not to more firewood.

WE SELL FIREWOOD. We also sell starter wood bundles of local wood.

FIREWOOD and starter wood bundles can be purchased by coming to the check-in window on the porch.

ICE & OTHER NEEDS

Ice and other needs can also be purchased by coming to the check-in window on the porch.

RESTROOMS

Please be aware of how many other campers are in the restrooms.  Please do not over-impact buildings.

Also, Pennsylvania is asking you to please wear a mask while in the buildings on grounds.

GARBAGE

Please dispose of ALL garbage in one of our dumpsters - NOT in your firering or in the restrooms.

Thank you for your help in continuing Covid-19 Directives.

Guidelines issued by Gov.Wolf

MINIMIZE RISK TO OTHERS

MINIMIZE RISK TO OTHERS

MINIMIZE RISK TO OTHERS

Individuals should only go out if they feel healthy and have not been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING

MINIMIZE RISK TO OTHERS

MINIMIZE RISK TO OTHERS

Maintain the recommended minimum 6 feet apart from fellow recreationists.    Pennsylvanians are also encouraged to wear a mask or protective garment      that covers the nose and mouth any time they go outside. If a parking lot      at a park is full or there are too many people on the same trail, find an      alternate place to recreate. Cross the street to avoid running directly past another runner or wait longer at a golf hole for a fellow golfer to  move forward.

PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE

PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE

Wash hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol. Avoid surfaces that are touched often, such as doorknobs and handrails.
