Scarlett Knob Campground  is a privately owned campground located on a scenic hilltop adjoining the 19,000 acre Ohiopyle State Park, and overlooking the Youghiogheny River Valley in southwestern Pennsylvania.

All of our camping sites are wooded with an area for your tent(s), a  picnic table and a fire ring. Pets are welcome. A fishing lake (no license required) and recreation field are available for use by campers.  Facilities include one restroom with hot, coin-operated showers and pit toilets and one with flush toilets.

Scarlett Knob Campground has two camping areas. The FAMILY AREA, has strict quiet hours beginning at 9 p.m.and limits 5 people to a site. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in this area. Water and 20 amp electric hookups are available in the family area. The GROUP AREA has later quiet hours,  and separate sites for groups of 2-4, 5-8, 9-16, 17-35, and 36-60 adults.   Alcohol  is  permitted  (but  drunken,  abusive,  or  offensive  behavior  is  not).

Refund Policy

Your payment guarantees your specific site reservation which means we must refuse to book your site for anyone else. We do not over book. Due to limited availability & length of season, there are NO REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULES on late arrivals, no shows, or cancellations with less than 30 days advance notice. Cancellations with 30 days advance notice will be charged a processing fee of 8% of the total cost .No refunds includes, but is not limited to, inclement weather, illness, river conditions, or work schedules.  Group leaders should be sure all group members understand the refund policy.

Reservations are not required but are strongly suggested due to limited space. Reservations for one night are welcome, except on holiday weekends when two night reservations are required. There is a two-day occupancy policy.  This means that when a site is booked for more than one night, everyone who will be camping on that site during the dates book, pays for at least two nights.  We do not “swap campers” or permit late check-ins or early check-outs to avoid paying for your reservation.  Check-in and Check-out times apply

*PERSONAL NOTE:  We would like to thank everyone for the understanding and support during our recent medial fiasco (over Labor Day Weekend). We apologize for any inconvenience it may have cause anyone.  We are looking forward to seeing some old friends and some new faces as Summer turns into Autumn and the trees “show their colors”!   C
