THE USE OF FIREWORKS ON GROUNDS IS NOT PERMITTED.  This includes ALL “consumer Fireworks” as defined in the PA Fireworks Law – Act 43 of 2017, House Bill 542, Section 1.  AND, on grounds at Scarlett Knob Campgroundit ALSO includes devices such as “ground and hand-held sparkling devices,” “novelties” and “toy caps”.

The new Pennsylvania law states:

Section 2404.Paragraph b. Number 1(b)(1).   Use of consumer fireworks. (b)  Prohibitions.–A person may not intentionally ignite or discharge: (1)  Consumer fireworks on public or private property without the express permission of the owner.

Due  to  (but not limited to)  fire hazards, noise concerns, and insurance regulations,  NO  ONE  has,  nor  will  be  given,  permission  to  use  fireworks  on  campground   property.

  Old Fashioned Independence Day celebration at the    Indian Creek Baptist Church Route 381 in Mill Run.

Parade begins at 12:30 p.m. followed by a flag raising ceremony by VFW Posts 12019 and 265 at 1 p.m.

Fun games for all ages will begin at 2 p.m.

Evening entertainment will be provided by the gospel group, Last Generation, at 7:30 p.m.

Concession stand will be open all day serving sandwiches, homemade baked goods, ice cream, and fried dough.

There’s also a traditional cakewalk at 8:30 p.m.

The evening concludes with FIREWORKS at 10 p.m.
