SCARLETT KNOB does not REQUIRE reservations.  However, camping sites are only guaranteed with a paid reservation.  We STRONGLY SUGGEST RESERVATIONS for  weekends and during special events in the area due to limited space.  Weekend reservations are accepted for a minimum of 2 nights which must include Friday and Saturday.  Holiday reservations (Memorial Day & Labor Day 2018) are accepted for a minimum of 3 nights which must include – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. 

We will take a reservation for a specific site.  If you have a FAVORITE SITE and if it is available when you make your reservation, we WILL reserve that site for you. Otherwise, we attempt to choose the BEST SITE available to meet your needs when you make a reservation.


RESERVATIONS can only be made by calling SCARLETT KNOB (724-329-5200).  RESERVATIONS must be pre-paid with a Visa or MasterCard at the time the reservation is made.   When reservations are made, we deal with one person per site.  We accept payment from this person only.  We do not accept multiple checks or charges for a site reservation.  We do not “swap campers” or permit late check-ins or early check-outs to avoid paying for your site’s entire stay.   Everyone on a site pays for the reserved stay length.  All reservations are processed the day they are made.


Beginning Saturday 14 July 2018, Scarlett Knob will take Saturday Night Only reservations after 11 am on that Saturday. This means if you want to stay Saturday 14 July ONLY, you can call AFTER 11am and, if a site is available, make a reservation for Saturday the 14th only.

There is no additional charge for the one night reservation and no increase in the nightly fee. Check in is still 1PM or later.

If you prefer to drive in, sites if available, will be on a first come first served basis AFTER 1PM.


Refund Policy – Your payment guarantees your specific site reservation which means we must refuse to book your site for anyone else.  We do not over book.  Due to limited availability & length of season, there are NO REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULES on late arrivals, no shows, or cancellations with less than 30 days advance notice.  Cancellations with 30 days advance notice will be charged a processing fee of 8% of the total cost.  No refunds includes, but is not limited to, inclement weather, illness, river conditions, or work schedules.  Group leaders should be sure all group members understand the refund policy.
